ALMA String Quartet together with Digital Art House invites you to delve into the modernist and impressionist era: the quartet's works will give a new sound and meaning to the works of famous painters in the project "Colours and Sounds".

The event will take place on 27 of August at 19:00 at Digital Art House - a place where art comes alive (Skolas iela 2).
Every project presented by Digital Art House is always a magical fusion of music and art. This time, on a late spring eve, visitors to the "Colours and Sounds" concert will immerse themselves in the wondrous world of music by Claude Debussy, Morris Ravel, Edvard Grieg, Sergei Prokofiev, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Samuel Barber and others, The ALMA String Quartet will open this world of music with exciting projections of paintings by world-renowned masters Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, Klimt, Kandinsky, Aivazovsky, Renoir, Sinyak, Clégy, Grise and Munch.

The string quartet is the most difficult of all chamber music. It is unique in that the ensemble combines the tonal sounds of the strings with the power of all forms of chamber music, and at the same time a monumental character.
The ALMA Quartet's concert programs are distinguished by a high level of performance and artistic taste. "They successfully combine chamber music traditions, enthusiasm of young artists and love for their work" - says the author and producer Roman Morozov.

ALMA String Quartet was founded in 2013. The inspiration and first violinist of the quartet is Anna Salnit. The ensemble's artists - laureates of international competitions - pay special attention to chamber music, as well as playing in leading European orchestras and taking part in solo projects.
